Gutting the North

Demo is underway on the North stack!

Bricks removed at 3rd and 4th North Bathrooms

The 3rd and 4th floors are mostly gutted.

3rd Floor Tub

We're going all of the way to the studs this time.  Clearly that wasn't how this was handled for quite some time.  There were multiple walls, 4 layers of ceiling on the 3rd floor and 6 layers of ceiling on the 4th floor!  With all of that out of the way the tub doesn't seem quite so big in the room anymore.  There is also another 10" to the joists that you couldn't see with the old ceiling.  We think we can get a bit more space than we had before once its all tucked back in.

4th Floor Window

With the bricks out, we can start to get a sense of how the window will again be a part of the room.

Current Plumbing Stack at 4th Floor

The current plumbing takes up quite a bit of space.  We'll see how well we can get that tucked back in to the wall to get some extra space.
