Moving the Pool Table

With the renovation beginning any day, Br. James Rowan, spring house manager, reports that the clean out of the 1st floor is almost complete.  Moving the pool table was one of the last significant items.

Why are the undergrads eating in the 2nd Lounge?

Why are the undergraduates now eating in the 2nd lounge?  No it's not because a pipe burst last month when we got a record low of -9F (that's been fixed)!  We are stepping forward into our next renovation adventure - the public spaces of the first two floors.  We are essentially shutting down the 1st floor except for the kitchen and bedrooms so that renovations can begin on the library, annex, and dining room.  Once dining services for the term end in May, we'll extend the work to include the 2nd lounge as well.  Stay tuned for updates as the work continues and we push forward to get it all done before the Rush deadline.

Indeed the depravity of the undergraduate has improved little over the past decades.  Witness that 20 year old carpet is still considered a desirable addition to a personal room!
